Colour and Appearance: Calendula CO2 Total Extract is usually blood red in colour. Its odour is very pleasent, just like dried hay.

Composition: This extract contains all CO2 soluble lipophilic components like pentacyclic triterpene alcohols and triterpendiol monoesters including 17-28% faradiol esters, esterified with manly myristic and palmitic acids which are responsible for it high anti-inflammatory and anti-oedematous properties. There are also essential oils (1-2%), sterols, carotenes and cuticular waxes.

Properties: Skin soothing, accelerates wound healing, enhancing formation of cell tissue, nourishing, astringent, analgesic, antioxidant, skin regeneration, improving skin elasticity leading to delay skin aging, anti-inflammatory, fungicidal (Candida).

Fragrance: Has a delicate, herbaceous/green, warm, waxy, hay like smell.
